Our primary objective with this survey is to obtain an accurate estimate of the Kurdish population in Canada. Current demographic records often categorize Kurds under broader Arab, Persian, or Turkish identities due to geopolitical factors, leading to a lack of precise representation. This absence of reliable data hampers efforts to effectively support and strengthen Kurdish communities across Canadian provinces and territories. By collecting this information, we aim to foster community development, advocate for Kurdish cultural initiatives, and promote the growth of Kurdish businesses.
